Stampin’ Up!’s New Kit: Bloomin’ Bouquet

Bloomin’ Bouquet Project Kit

Happy Monday Stamping Friends! Was I surprised to see Stampin’ Up! has a new kit they are rolling out today, aren’t they wonderful!?!? Whether you’re thinking about Mother’s Day, Teacher appreciation, or Just because, you can say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There’s no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

As if that weren’t enough, the kit contains a “baker’s dozen”! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn’t normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you’d like to give a little “thank you” to-and introduce them to Stampin’ Up!

Here is the Ordering information: it is Item# 134542 and cost is only $12.95. It is available starting April 29, while supplies last.

This awesome Kit contents:

•2 sheets of preprinted and precut flowers on 12″ X 12″ cardstock; makes 13 flowers using Pool Party, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Rich Razzleberry
•13 Vintage Faceted Buttons
•13 green floral wire stems
Adhesive not included. (Glue gun recommended.)

Here are some additional Tips about this Kit:

•This kit makes a great gift, both assembled and unassembled. You may want to give it as a fun do-at-home project, or create it to give a bouquet of paper flowers!
•This kit can appeal to both stampers and non-stampers; the ease of assembly means anyone can do it!
•Add your own finishing touch to the bouquet: place it in a vase, wrap it up in tissue paper, decorative ribbon, or twine.

Head over to my online store at: and click “Shop Now”. Leave me a comment here if you have any questions. I know I’m putting this kit on my next order.

I thought you might enjoy watching this You Tube Video on how to assemble your Bloomin’ Bouquet- have fun!

Happy Crafting and Stamping!! (Have you ordered the stamps you really want to get before they’re retired??) Many thanks!

Retirement List Favorites…. Greeting Card Kids

greeting card kids school

Well today was just a heavenly day, wasn’t it?? I helped my sister with her garage sale, spent the afternoon with my nephews at a BMX race, went to my favorite shop for a quick visit (Bliss Gifts and Home Decor, on Jay Street in Schenectady), and did some stamping. I’m also planning my May events and making lists and checking them twice. It felt good to be outdoors most of the day, although I have a touch of sunburn… I remembered to put sunscreen on Ethan, but didn’t think about putting any on myself.

I also went through my archives, I haven’t taken pictures of every card I’ve made, and have sent out hundreds of cards through the years. Luckily I have photos to show you another one of my all time favorite sets that is retiring, called “Greeting Card Kids”.

greeting card kids halloweenalthough this deep purple (concord crush) is retired, I wanted to show you this cute little witch. I also did this image in embossed black and watercolored it once, but I didn’t take a picture of that card.

This card was one of the first Christmas cards I made with this set- what do you think of the non-traditional colors? I made this as a mock up to see if I was going to do a class with it, I didn’t end up using this one… but I did use this one:

You can visit my online store at

Greeting card kids in clear mount is $15.95 and is item #120633 or if you’d like it in wood mount, it is item #119887 for $20.95.  It is a 4 piece set with each of the images as an individual stamp as shown below:

Hard to believe I have been blogging for almost 2 months. I thought a daily blog would be a “piece of cake”, but there is much more involved than I thought. I need to brush up and learn more blogging lingo, and learn how to add specials and blinkies and links on my sidebar. I want to know how often you would like to see me post here? I’m trying to balance it all, you know?

are there any retired stamp sets you want to see me feature here as we take a last look at them before they’re gone for ever?

Happy stamping everyone! thank you for taking the time out of your busy weekend to read my blog! I appreciate it!

Retirement List Favorites, Circle Circus

Hi there stamping friends!
Were you saying TGIF today? I was! It was a long week! I thank God that I have stamping and papercrafting as a hobby/outlet/stress reliever! It really helps me relax and unwind after a stressful day at work, to go up to the craft room and create. I hope you have a nice space somewhere to create your cards and papercrafts.
Today I wanted to show you some of my favorite cards made with the retiring set Circle Circus. I’ll be hanging onto this set too as it is great for making quick masculine cards, gift bags, wrapping paper and of course cards.

There are so many possibilities with this stamp set:

And, have you ever stamped on candles? Well, this was my first attempt back in the day… you actually stamp on white tissue paper. Trim down to just the image, and adhere it to the candle by using your heat tool- it melts the tissue paper to the candle… just leave heat tool on until it melts/adheres.

Well, that’s it for tonight. I’m helping my sister with her garage sale in the morning. I didn’t put anything in this one, I ran out of time…. I’m kicking myself as I wanted to try to sell some old retired stamps, but I’ll have to catch the next one, or plan one myself.
Until tomorrow, happy stamping! Thanks for reading my blog!

French Foliage Is Retiring

Hi there stamping friends!

Today’s featured stamp set is “French Foliage”, I have used this for cards, favors, wedding invitations, Thanksgiving placemats/name tags, and more!

This card was one I featured in a stamp-a-stack class:

And this card I made for a friends birthday:
